Elections in the US: an analysis

Donald Trump is the "president elect" of the United States. A surprise to many, including the current politics, for others a logical story. What was online about the fight between Trump and Clinton said and more interesting still, what say the large lines across your company and brands?
The data is the result of a survey in OBI4wan and covers mainly European accounts. This is not representative of the US market.
For this analysis, I used the following searches::
* clinton OR "hillary clinton"
* Trump OR "Donald Trump"
What stands out to the results?
 The sentiment in the messages about Trump is in numbers more positive than over Clinton, where over Clinton proportionally more negative messages are placed.


The volume on Trump is from July 1, always been more than about Clinton with a large spout from week 39. About Trump is 2.25 times more written than in the entire period about Clinton.
 
In comparison a picture of The Wall Street Journal with the number of followers of Trump and Clinton during the election campaign.
If we look at the PR value of all posts about Trump then this is more than twice as high and has more impact in the online discussion. PR value is a calculation based on number of followers, retweets and likes combined with a financial value.

Then the content: The tagcloud let most used words see as a result of a search. The summary of the Trump search goes mainly about Trump, where also the tagcloud of Clinton about other topics such as e-mail and Wikileaks and about Trump.


Twitter is the perfect platform number 1 in this online interview on the public internet. We see this more often in subjects with great attention.

More men talk about Trump, where the percentage of women is equal for both.


You had with this data can predict who the president of America was? No, not just based on this public and online data. Firstly, in this report to mainly European dates, secondly you can for a good prediction never rely on one form of data and you will have to match with other data sources such as surveys and polls.
