Social Sales goes electrically to customer and prospect

Since 8 March we drive completely electric. In August 2018 I had already signed up for the waiting list of the Kia e-Niro. I had taken this step because the Toyota Prius hybrid plug-in this year would get more than 180,000 kilometers on the counter and go to the higher addition level.

Day Tankpas, hello charging pole! I wrote that on 8 March on LinkedIn. Besides congratulation, I also asked if I wanted to share my experiences. I do that with pleasure!

Meanwhile, the Kia e-Niro drove more than 5,000 kilometers. Fully satisfied. The first week of course it was exciting. I spent over 20 years in a car where you could drive at least 600/700 kilometers on gasoline, gas and diesel. When your tank was almost empty you could refuel at every corner of the street. The Kia e-Niro can drive up to 445 kilometers with a full battery. When it is colder, the battery pack 393 kilometres. In practice I come across this range of actions everywhere.

To take the test on the sum we drove to Ghent one day after the visit to the dealer. A single journey of more than 180 kilometers, against a consumption of 19.4 kWh/100 kilometers. This means that we can drive to Gent and back on one battery charge. Although we have loaded in Belgium, this was not necessary.

What I got to say about the previous new cars was: "Nice car", "That is definitely nice" to "beautiful colour and nice rims" I get this electric car mainly the question: ' How far can you go with it? '

Although we are mainly connected online, I prefer to deal with relationships and customers Offline to agree. That's why I make a lot of mileage to meet everyone personally.

On average I drive about 1,000 kilometers per week. When I can load at clients and relationships then I hang the car to the plug. Also on the go, when I work in hotels I plug in the car.

In the past period I have not yet used the fast chargers, simply because it has not been necessary. At home I have a charger so I leave every day with a full battery. With my clients I can load almost everywhere and there are sufficient loading poles available in the Netherlands. This is different In Belgium and Germany. There are simply less loading points available. Thanks to the range of the Kia, we drive to Antwerp and back without loading.

The advantages of electric driving, in no random order:

  • Finally a car kit in which I am understandable (because it is very quiet, without engine noise)
  • Financial advantage in the form of lower addition, environmental investeringsaftrek, etc.
  • Environmentally friendly, the children also carry out the conversation
  • Autopilot and adaptive cruise control provide relaxed car driving
  • Equipment level of the Kia e-Niro: Everything is on and on!

There are no disadvantages. Of course, the range makes sure you have to plan some more. And, after 20 years of parking backwards, it's getting used to parking ahead now, because there is the car's charging point. But that's the only downside for me.

I am satisfied electric rider and look forward to the future of autonomous driving.
