LinkedIn has revived the QR code and made this feature part of the LinkedIn app.
If you are on a network event, a drink or a company party and you want to link to your contact after your call, you open the LinkedIn app and select the QR code in the search field.
You will now have access to two possibilities:
- Scan
- My Code
Select your Scan then the LinkedIn app opens your camera. When you focus this scanner on a QR code, your contact's profile is opened immediately. This profile allows you to send your relationship an invitation to stay connected online too.
Select your My code and you will see your code including your profile picture, your name and your headline. Your conversation partner can scan this code and view your profile and add you as a first line contact person.
Connecting Offline contact with online is now easier than ever.
When do you use this feature?
For example, at a network event and you want to keep in touch with the person you just talked to. Or you've just had a nice conversation with a prospect and you want to be kept informed when your business relationship shares a status update via LinkedIn.
With the LinkedIn app and the QR code you always have a digital business card with you. Again a reason to have a good, Up-to-date and all Star LinkedIn profile To have.
